MailQuell

Email verification for Wix forms

Stop fake, mistyped and disposable email addresses in your Wix forms. One line of code checks the email field while visitors type, suggests a fix for typos (gmial.com → gmail.com) and stops addresses that would bounce. No app to install.

Set up in three steps

  1. 1

    Create a widget key

Create a free MailQuell account, then Developer Hub → Integrations → Form widget → New widget key. Add your site's domain (myshop.com) and copy the line of code it gives you.

  2. 2

    Add the code to Wix

In your site's dashboard: Settings → Custom Code (in Advanced) → + Add Custom Code. Paste the line, choose "All pages" and "Load code on each new page", place it in "Body - end", then Apply.

  3. 3

    Publish and test

Publish the site, open a page with a form and type an address like [email protected]: a suggestion appears under the field.

The line looks like this (your key is filled in for you in Developer Hub):

<script src="https://mailquell.com/widget/v1.js" data-key="mq_pub_…" data-api="https://api.mailquell.com" defer></script>

Good to know

  • Wix runs custom code only on sites with a Premium plan and a connected domain.
  • Works with Wix Forms and every email field on your pages, including forms in pop-ups.
  • Fields inside apps from other sites (shown in a frame) cannot be reached by any script.

Never blocks a real visitor

If a check cannot be done in time, or your credits run out, the form is sent as usual.

Checks while they type

The answer is usually there before the visitor reaches the send button.

Your rules

Choose what to refuse (invalid, disposable, risky), your own messages, and a daily limit.

Free to start

200 checks every month + 100 welcome credits. One credit per new address.

Questions

Does it work on the free Wix plan?

No. Wix only runs custom code on sites with a Premium plan and a connected domain.

Does it slow my site down?

No. The script is small, loads after the page and only calls MailQuell when a visitor types an email address.

What if MailQuell does not answer?

The form is sent as usual. Visitors are never blocked because of MailQuell: no answer in time, daily limit reached or no credits left all let the form through.

What does it cost?

One credit for each new address checked; the same address again within 24 hours is free. Every account gets free checks each month, and you can set a daily limit on the widget key.
