NeverBounce is one of the best-known email verification services, and many people start there. If you are comparing it with other tools, this page puts the two side by side, using NeverBounce's own pricing page and terms for its side. It also says where NeverBounce is the better choice.

Information about NeverBounce was checked on its official pages on October 10, 2026 (sources at the end). Prices and terms change: check their current pricing page before you decide.

The short version

  • Credits that do not expire. NeverBounce credits are valid for 365 days after purchase. MailQuell credits from packs never expire while your account is open.
  • Lower price per address at volume. NeverBounce's pay-as-you-go entry price is $8 per 1,000 credits. MailQuell packs start at $1.40 per 1,000 (5,000 checks for $7) and go down to $0.79 per 1,000 at 100,000.
  • A free plan every month. MailQuell includes 200 checks every month, plus 100 welcome credits, without a card.
  • No charge without an answer. When a mail server gives no clear answer, MailQuell marks the address "unknown" and gives the credit back.
  • NeverBounce is the better fit if you want its automatic syncing with your existing email platforms, or a long-established vendor.

Price: what you actually pay

Verification is priced per address, so the comparison that matters is the price per 1,000 at the volume you buy.

MailQuell's credit packs:

Pack Price Per 1,000
5,000 $7 $1.40
10,000 $12 $1.20
25,000 $25 $1.00
50,000 $45 $0.90
100,000 $79 $0.79
250,000 $169 $0.68
500,000 $299 $0.60
1,000,000 $499 $0.50

There are also monthly plans with a daily allowance, from $7 a month for 500 checks a day. See the pricing page.

NeverBounce lists $8 per 1,000 credits at its pay-as-you-go entry level, with lower rates at higher volumes. Check their current table for the exact volume you need.

Credit expiry

This is the difference that costs people the most without noticing. If you clean lists a few times a year, credits that expire after 12 months can be lost before you use them.

NeverBounce's Terms of Use say each purchased credit is valid for 365 days after purchase. MailQuell pack credits, and the 100 welcome credits, never expire while your account is open. You can buy a larger pack at a lower price per address without worrying about using it within a year.

Catch-all domains

Some domains accept mail for every address, so no verifier can confirm the mailbox. NeverBounce reports these as "Accept all (Unverifiable)". MailQuell detects them in every check, with no extra charge, and marks them catch-all so you can decide whether to send. Our guide to catch-all emails explains how to send to them safely.

Where NeverBounce may be the better choice

  • Automatic syncing. NeverBounce Sync keeps lists in connected platforms cleaned on a schedule. MailQuell verifies a Mailchimp, Brevo or MailerLite list when you start it and writes the results back, but does not re-clean it automatically.
  • A long track record. NeverBounce has been on the market for years and is a common choice for large companies. MailQuell is newer.
  • Very large single files. MailQuell accepts up to 50,000 addresses per list. Bigger files need to be split, or sent through the API.

What MailQuell adds

  • A send forecast: for each part of a verified list, the bounce rate to expect if you send it now, next to the 2% line where sending services start to complain (see bulk email verification).
  • Spam-trap risk signs: new and parked domains and machine-generated addresses are flagged as risky, with the reason (more on spam traps).
  • A form widget for WordPress, Wix and Ghost that stops invalid and disposable addresses at sign-up.
  • An MCP server, so AI assistants such as Claude can verify addresses with your API key.
  • Data hosted in the United Kingdom; uploaded lists are deleted when the check ends.

How to switch

  1. Create a free account (200 checks a month, no card).
  2. Export your list from your email tool as CSV or Excel and upload it, or connect Mailchimp, Brevo or MailerLite.
  3. Compare the results on a list you already verified elsewhere before you buy a pack.
